Want to take a moment to make sure you realize what a great job your guides are doing.? On the Jan 5 – 12 Sea of Cortez trip, Marcos, and Sergio did a perfect job.

They were friendly and open without being intrusive. They were concerned with our safety and made sure that no one got hurt, but they did not prevent us from having fun and enjoying the adventure. I really loved how they used the straps to make sure no one hurt his or her back when we were moving kayaks. They were excellent cooks who came up with delicious, inventive food. They were knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. And, if they didn’t have the answer, they looked it up. Once when Sergio wasn’t sure of the name of a tree, he looked it up and told me the tree’s name but also the fact that the indigenous people used the tree to make dye. They were true environmentalists, who love the beauty of their country and are working hard to preserve it. They were able to keep us all together even though there were people with very different abilities on the trip. They speak great English but were willing to put up with our fractured attempts to speak Spanish. All in all — the perfect professionals.

So, thanks to Tofino and thanks to our great guides!!
