Baja Kayaking Tours – Kayak Loreto to La Paz – The Hidden Coast
One of North America’s great classic kayaking expeditions our Hidden Coast Baja kayaking trips explore the remote and roadless shores of the Sierra Gigante Range between Loreto and La Paz. Experienced paddlers regard this route as Baja’s best wilderness kayaking trip. The coast here is spectacular with small picture-perfect coves and arching white sand beaches. Most of the way the Sierra Gigante mountains provide a dramatic backdrop. The occasional isolated rancho or fish camp are the only signs of civilization.
This is a great Baja kayaking tour for the avid paddler. It is an excellent opportunity for those who have kayaked with us in the Loreto area to explore more of Baja’s hidden treasures. A series of beautiful campsites, the ruins of a Jesuit mission, crystal clear coves, miles of beachcombing and hikes are only some of the attractions of this spectacular stretch of coastline.
This Baja Kayaking trip starts in Loreto (LTO) and finishes in La Paz (LAP). La Paz is only 2.5 hours from Los Cabos and there are numerous flights in and out of the airport at San Jose del Cabo (SJD). There is a direct shuttle to SJD from the Malecon district in La Paz where the final night’s hotel for this trip is located.
